Russian Week of High Technologies 2023 will take place at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds, Moscow, Russia, from 11 through 14 April 2023. It is one of the largest series of events in Russia and the CIS, which brings together several trade shows, forums and conferences devoted to information technology, telecommunications, navigation and telematics.

Russian Week of High Technologies was included in the list of main activities of the Decade of Science and Technology and in the Designing the Future initiative, which aims to attract talented young people to research and development, promoting the involvement of researchers and developers in solving critical problems of the development of society and the country.

RWHT is an important stage in the implementation of the NTI Expo project, which is designed to promote the introduction of technological advances in industrial production. 

The key topics of the discussions will be the introduction of advanced technologies at industry enterprises, state support measures for business, export opportunities for Russian telecommunication equipment, and the course towards import substitution.

Sviaz 2023

The centrepiece of Russian Week of High Technologies is the Sviaz 2023 international exhibition, which is the most significant ICT event of the year. The showcase will occupy Pavilion No.2. This year it will be the 35th edition of the exhibition.

For many companies, Sviaz has become a traditional venue for meeting key partners, a platform for receiving feedback from existing clients, and a tool for attracting new target audiences.

For the first time since 2019, Sviaz 2023 will have the large-scale China Pavilion, which is organised in partnership with CCPIT – the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, TEEMA – the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association, and the organiser of the user electronics Smart Device Show.

More than 90 companies from China and Taiwan will be exhibiting solutions in the fields of telecommunications equipment, telematics and navigation, geographic information systems, unmanned agricultural solutions, mini-PCs and laptops, ODN solutions for FTTx networks, data centers, industrial air conditioning, PV inverters and energy storage, cable products, smart home infrastructure, active and passive network equipment, telecommunications software, solutions and equipment for wireless networks, industrial radio communications, and cybersecurity.

The exhibition will also feature 10 Iranian brands showcased at the national pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Sviaz 2023 welcomes companies from 6 federal districts and 27 regions of Russia. 

Companies from the Kaluga, Tomsk and Ulyanovsk Oblasts will take part in the exhibition with the support of their regional Support Centres for Entrepreneurs and Export Support Centres.

In 2023, the exhibition will also feature new companies from regions that have not participated previously: the Republic of Karelia, the Irkutsk and Kostroma Oblasts.

The show will also accommodate several group stands.

One of them is Russian Unified Communications, where software and equipment manufacturers, distributors and system integrators will showcase the best solutions and advanced Russian unified communications technologies.

The participation of Ruselectronics Holding's member companies is also becoming a tradition, and this year Television Scientific Research Institute and Concern Sozvezdie will be exhibiting their developments.

Sviaz 2023 also features the special Centre of Education and Science. Its participants will include Volga State University of Telecommunications and Informatics, Bonch-Bruyevich St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Informatics, and Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics.

The exhibition programme of Russian Week of High Technologies includes the Navitech 2023 Display of Navigation Systems, Technologies and Services. It is dedicated to geodata solutions, transport and insurance telematics, connected and highly automated vehicles, geo- and transport information systems, intelligent urban mobility, and satellite navigation.

Its exhibitors will include manufacturers and developers of special software, telematics platforms, mapping applications, leading telematics solution integrators and major end-users: Allynav Technology Co., Next Mobile, Softlogic, Valamis, ILTUS, Planar, Innovative Company Rumb, UGT Holding, etc. 

Conference programme

More than 30 events will be held within the conference programme of Russian Week of High Technologies and Sviaz 2023 with representatives of the executive and legislative authorities, telecom operators, industry enterprises, researchers and experts. 

The programme’s key event is the Sviaz 2023 Forum, which includes the Plenary Session on Information Technology: A Course Towards National Priorities and four thematic sessions. The events are organised by EXPOCENTRE AO and the RBC media holding with support of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, and the Russian State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education. The participants will discuss new support mechanisms for IT and telecom companies, support for digital transformation of the industry, application of AI in industrial and telecom development, development of human resources in the regions, and other important topics. The sessions will deal with telecommunications operators and technologies, IoT, cloud technologies, and microelectronics. 

The Russian Software Forum: Effective Solutions for the Digital Economy will be an important stage in the NTI-Expo project and an expert platform for addressing industry challenges to promote Russian software. The event is organised by the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Russian State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, and EXPOCENTRE AO. The topics for discussion will be state support measures for IT companies, measures to prevent the outflow of ICT and related technology professionals, and replacement of technologies, software and ICT equipment that are no longer available. The forum will also include thematic sessions.

The Autonet 2023 International Forum of Innovative Transport Technology, the annual key event dedicated to the development of highly automated transport, automotive digital services and transport and logistics services, will take place within RWHT and Sviaz 2023. It is organised by the GLONASS/GNSS Forum Association in partnership with EXPOCENTRE AO. The forum will bring together leaders and experts from the automotive, transport, digital and telematics industries, toll road operators, representatives of regulatory bodies, state institutions and development funds, Russian offices of foreign vendors, heads of insurance and leasing companies, suppliers of telematics equipment, and carsharing operators. They will discuss the most important topics, i.e., technological sovereignty – market development of advanced services and services based on intelligent systems, platforms and networks in the logistics of people and things, innovative solutions and data-based services in the transport segment, green energy and electric transport in Russia, smart urban mobility, the capabilities of big data in the Autonet sphere.

The Roscosmos State Corporation will hold the Sphere Congress on 13 April. The event will discuss the implementation of the Sphere federal project, the integrated development of space information technologies, the use of telecommunications, navigation and geoinformation technologies, as well as demonstrate innovative developments in the Russian rocket and space industry. 

One of the important events will be the Strategic Session on Digital Transformation of the Russian Economy: Priorities, Human Resources, Laws, organised by the Russian State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, the Expert Council on Scientific and Technological Development and Intellectual Property of the Russian State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education, and EXPOCENTRE AO.
