Russian Week of High Technologies is a major annual series of events. It is recognised as Russia’s most influential business platform for professionals to network, find suppliers and new sales channels, develop new solutions and identify trends in IT and telecommunications development. 

The special significance and high status of the Week is confirmed by its inclusion in the plan of the main events of the Year of Science and Technology in Russia in 2021. That is why, this year’s edition of the exhibition and its conference programme focus on promotion and demonstration of the latest scientific and technical developments, innovative technologies, and advanced ideas. 

Russian Week of High Technologies is also included in the NTI-Expo (Research-Technology-Innovation Expo) project, whose aim is to contribute to solving national priority tasks in research and technology, education, digital economy, industry, transport infrastructure, and energy. 

The Week brings together a large-scale conference programme and an exhibition that showcases trends and the latest developments in the sectors of communications networks, data centres, software, Internet access, cloud technologies, mobile solutions, artificial intelligence, and other relevant areas.

The central event of Russian Week of High Technologies 2021 is the 33rd edition of the International Exhibition for Information and Communications Technologies – Sviaz 2021.

The main product sectors of Sviaz 2021 are Smart City, IoT Tech, 5G, telecom equipment, solutions, services, data networks, telecom and network infrastructure, satellite, mobile and radio communications, telecom cables, data centers (equipment, software, solutions, services, power supply systems), Smart Device Show (consumer electronics), software – Russian software, IP technology, TV and radio broadcasting, IT services, mobile payments, Internet technology and services. 

A special place in the showcase is reserved to the Salon of Electronic Components for Telecommunication. Its participants are NPK Desten, Symanitron-Electronics, Radiofizika, Teleconta, PKK Milandr, Vostochny Potok, etc. 

Navitech 2021 will show products and solutions for the navigation industry. Its exhibitors will include Keysight Technologies (the USA), Next Mobile (Russia), Teltonika (Lithuania), Technoton (Belarus), Ricom (Russia), Streamax Technology (China), and ISS-Reshetnev Company (Russia), which is a leading manufacturer of satellites for communications, navigation, rebroadcasting and geodesy. Technoton will present UNUM IIoT Platform – a hardware/software solution for Industrial Internet of Things, and remote monitoring and management. Teltonika shows the latest developments in telematics, micromobility and networking equipment. Ricom will present developments in machine recognition radio communication and digital radio link systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. 

This year, Sviaz will feature the first group stand of the RUSSOFT Association, which is the most influential association of software developing companies in Russia. The association will occupy a stand of 72 sq m to showcase products of 11 member companies. 

A the RUSSOFT stand, Nanosemantics will introduce its latest developments in artificial intelligence technology. Raketa will present an advanced digital platform for organising and managing business travels. Products and solutions for artificial intelligence and machine learning will be presented by HARMAN. Advanced developments in the information security will be shown by SearchInform. Astra Linux Group, which is one of the leaders of the Russian IT industry, will present capabilities of Astra Linux OS, IT solutions that are part of this ecosystem, and virtualization platforms. The Russian IT company Test IT will show a state-of-the-art test management system. CrossTech Solutions Group will offer its own unique developments focused on critical information security issues. Luxms Group, a provider of advanced data processing and analysis solutions, will demonstrate visual inspection and streaming analytics. There will be more interesting developments and solutions at the RUSSOFT group stand. 

It will also be the first time that Sberbank takes part in the Sviaz conference programme as the Partner Bank. 

This year, the Russian Ministry of Defense takes part in Russian Week of High Technologies. At Sviaz 2021 it will present innovative projects of the ERA Military Innovative Technopolis related to such sectors as AI technologies (the VIT ERA Machine Learning Centre, a unified technological platform for artificial intelligence and the Russian machine learning ecosystem Plat, ecosystem of solutions based on the Russian neural network platform NeuroMatrix, and the IVA TPU tensor processor family project), information security (the Electronic Document Authentication System project), IT technologies (the Automated System of Scientific and Technical Expertise project).

Conference programme 

One of the main events of the conference programme will be the Plenary Session: Transformation of the Telecom Industry: Moving at High Speed of the Sviaz Forum 2021. It will be devoted to the government’s business support measures, export capabilities of Russian telecom equipment, localization of production, and import substitution in Russia. 

The Sviaz Forum 2021 will also include the following thematic sessions: Research and Technology in the Telecom Industry, Satellite Communications: Main Trends, Technology, 5G: on the Digital Tracks, and Microelectronics: the Current State and Development Prospects of the Industry. 

The Russian Software Forum: Effective Solutions will become an important milestone in the NTI-Expo project and an influential expert platform for addressing challenges related to promotion of Russian software. The event is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO, the Competence Center of Import Substitution in the ICT Sector, and the Russian Software Products Association “Russian Software” with support of the Russian State Duma Committee on Education and Science and the Expert Council on Scientific and Technological Development and Intellectual Property of the Russian State Duma Committee on Education and Science. The forum will include plenary and thematic sessions. Topics for discussion will include a comprehensive strategy for the development of the IT industry in Russia, government support measures for the industry, import substitution regulation, digital sovereignty, etc. 

This year, for the first time the 14th International Navigation Forum will feature a congress dedicated to the Sfera programme for the development of space information technologies. The Sfera programme intends to provide high quality space services by upgrading existing technologies and creating new technologies, systems and products. More than 600 new spacecraft are to be launched by 2030, which will provide a distributed data collection infrastructure for mobile, robotic and unmanned objects, providing global situational awareness. 

A new key topic of the International Navigation Forum will be the Russian service telematics platform Avtodata. Its implementation will make it possible to create a globally unique mass data in the automotive sector, as well as help Russian companies to create competitive worldwide products and services, applications for users of road transport, for urban operators of intelligent transport systems, road services, insurance, leasing and logistics companies.
